Surveyor has been and gone and the house is sparkling....at least it was until I collected the monsters from nursery.

I have hidden the ironing pile in the pantry but it is getting to the can't shut the door stage. I really need to do something about it, but can't iron till boys have gone to bed. I then can't be bothered because I am tired too, I wish they would get used to the change in times - 3.30am yesterday for ds2. 5.30 today (hurrah, a lie in).

I also don't have a dining room, and have already done the front door and porch - good old kerb appeal. Apparently we are going to watch Chitty Bang Bang for the fifth time since Sunday instead. ooh goody........ would someone like me to tidy their dining room for them?

Congratulations Linz, and bets of luck with the fast exchange. Nice to have a fall back, we have someone else with no chain interested in buying ours if our buyer pulls out. Happier now I know there is nothing major in the survey.

Well my wings have slipped somewhat, been ill since I got back from India on the 4th Oct, but there's an unexpected upside to this flying lark...
What used to be a struggle is now a doddle, everything was in such great order before that it isn't really that bad, the little spots of clutter and so on are fairly superficial.
On the road to recovery now, and I have a marathon of clothes putting away to complete, ds1 has had a growth spurt so most of his trousers have outgrown him in the past month  but that means...MORE SPACE!
Must clear out ds2's clothes too, and also mine after seeing one of these wardrobe decluttery programmes, I thought I had done a good job but I caould do better!
Got several bags sorted for charity/freecycle but people keep failing to turn up :(

  • Hex2 I know what its like with the ironing and being up early myself I think I deserve an afternoon snooze.

Keep your panrty door shut and forget about it and have a snooze whilst they have their nap ( if they have one) if they don't then have the night off!!

  • Hello, just a quick one. I've not abandoned you, but am having to mix w*** with flying. Additionally, DH is off to Taiwan on business, so I'm being single parent for the next couple of weeks, too.

Thanks for the lovely messages (you know who you are!!) nice to know I've been missed. :A

And thanks to Pondsaver, I don't have to check Flylady's daily messages - one less job in my frantic schedule! :T

Need to go and collect DS, who's back from his out-of-bounds (his phrase!, not mine) week. So, this evening, I will mainly be washing filthy muddy clothing. Then I'm taking my laptop to the computer hospital. Using my w*** machine atm!

TNG, hope we're not having Jeremy Fishcakes - he was a frog!

Inbetween stressing about the surveyor (who was really nice, quite enjoyed myself!) and nursery run I did manage to get all of the bedding washed. Just waiting for the last lot to dry then I have to make the beds again. I do have clean ones in the cupboard but they smell much nicer fresh.

We have just made an orange drizzle cake so need to re-clean the kitchen ceiling and the radiator. I still dont understand the strawberry that was stuck to the kitchen window this morning. The joy of life with toddlers....

Sarah saver nice to see you back.
Penny I did wonder what had happened to you, thought it was the shock of moving those demi johns.....
