Hex - I like your style - like you I've decluttered most of teh house now just avoiding office, loft and garage!

Punky - Thanks but I have no style - havent dried my hair for three months, good job I have long hair these days. Look a lot better since I found my concealer though, my black bags are quite scary o/w. We only have the garage left to do - none of the stuff is mine and I dont know what half of it does. OH is an engineer, and a hobby blacksmith. He collects tools - at the new place he will have a workshop but here most things have just had to be stacked. This was meant to be a short term house and we have now been in 4.5 years. Took me that long to upack and get it tidy again.....

I have just realised that when I stacked up the attic storage I put all the Christmas stuff at the back. We are supposed to be moving on 8th Dec (yeah, right) so it should be ok, but there is no way I am emptying all of the boxes out to get to the chrimble stuff. Ruthless - but lacking in method is my approach.

Lynz, I hope you slept ok and have made your mind up what to do. I have the survey today so everyone keep everything crossed for me. My house is a turn of the century end terrace and they have gone for a homebuyers. It will be a small miracle if we are still moving next week.

Right, off to start cleaner for the surveyor. OH thinks this is funny, he will not be checking if the oven is clean, etc, but it will make me feel like i am doing something. Boys off to nursery shortly so wednesday am is house blessing time.

Flyboy, hope the duck went well. Made me hungry just reading about it.

  • Morning all,

Well after two days of heavy flying my wings are developing muscles i never knew i had.;)

Today i'm not sure if much flying over and above the daily stuff will get done.
Taking the two little angels to library this am for a toddler group.
Then need to pop to Drs as i didnt get through yesterday.
Back home for a quick lunch then-
taking my Mam out as she dosent get out unless someone takes her.
I would also like to get a monthly meal planner done as last months grocery spend was ridiculous as no forward planning etc etc.

Have made a good start on the day, kitchen already cleaned, washing done to go out on the line, but need to gather library books....

Hope everyone has a good fly-day.

    Meanwhile.........

    Morning Flybabes

Lor, love a (non-flying) duck, me beauties!!! Well, it all seemed to go remarkably well, all TNGs considered:D

Tastewise, i would give it an 8 or a 9 out of ten:drool: . Lynz - the sauce was good, but have nothing for comparison, so can't say if it was better or worse than any other:o. texturewise, however, was a bit disappointing. I think I should have let it hang (the cat could have 'tenderised' it for me:D ), or left it in the oven for longer. It was getting towards bedtime for DSs so had to just go for it. it was in for a couple of hours, but I think it should have been longer. I'll do it at the weekend next time, i think. Kids yummed it up, though, so it can't have been toooo bad:j

And so ends the tale of Jemima Crispyduck........

Will have to get back to flying tonight

    Hey, just realised - DW did a DW last night :T :T :T :T

    Today's list......

    WM
    TD
    DW
    Dinner
    clear lounge of toot
pooterdesk - turning into a hotspot, that one

Hope we're all Happy Flappers this morning :D

Absolutely TNG! Pondsaver. I prescribe some serious downtime, and those flying feet of yours well and truly UP. Sit here for a while. Hopefully any laughter eminating from this thread wont spark off another attack. Get well soon xxx

HEX Well I think we have decided to take the offer, but push for a tiny bit more being MSEs and all ;) In any case we have another viewing at 11. Its nice to have a lovely home when anyone comes over though surveyor or mother, you want them to be impressed dont you  A shiny oven impresses anyone IMHO:A

What was wrong with the duck  was it still too greasy then? Im sure the plum sauce was fine, if it was from a chinese supermarket. the sharwoods one has got these rogue bits of sliced babycorn in, and they are almost jellylike - not pleasant.

    Todays tasks are
    forward CV to 3 agencies
    check hays
    check employer website

    Happy flying to all :D
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
