  • My wishlist for tomorrow too:

    1. A general tidy round
    2. Clean the bathroom
    3. Tidy the kids bedroom, sort out drawers and wardrobe, charity, freecycle, ebay any outgrown stuff.
    4. Sort out the black hole, otherwise known as the hall cupboard. Need to be RUTHLESS awith this, as it's full of clutter
    5. The undersink cupboard needs a sort out, again RUTHLESS.

If I manage all this it will be a flippin' miracle, But a list to kickstart me will help.

Oh and tip of the day. Next time you are at tesco, grab one of those cardboard wine carriers, with the separate sections in. Great for flying round the house with your cleaning items in the little sections.:D

Thank you foreverskint!!! That is a very fine tip indeed, and I shall be doing exactly that next time I grace Mr T's fine store. I think I will have an upstairs cleaning kit and a downstairs cleaning kit (you'd nearly think I lived in a big house...) You have also reminded me to get the cupboard under the sink sorted out...gee thanks again:rolleyes:;)!! In my house it's one of those cupboards which is always full, yet I only use perhaps the front 10% of all that stuff. What is all that stuff and where did it come from anyway:eek:????

    So, tomorrow's list is:
    • Voyage of discovery in the cupboard under the sink
    • Put today's laundry away (I don't really do ironing...)
    • Do another load of laundry early in the day to increase chance of it drying before nightfall
    • Clean the insides of the windows (window cleaner was here on Friday...windows still dirty cos they are mucky on the inside :o)
    • Vacuum the sofas (actually, I might do that now since I was going to do it today in the first place...)
    See you all tomorrow.

The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair
  • Snowyowl, I too have that problem with the undersink cupboard. I open it just enough to get at the washing powder, and the rest is goodness only knows what:rolleyes: Just hope it's not full of spiders:eek:

Oh and I just spotted that the kitchen spot lights need a really good clean. covered in flyspit and other icky stuff:eek:

I really must stop looking up:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
  • Ha ha foreverskint...reminds me of when I first wore my glasses. Couldn't believe how minging the house was, specially the carpet...took them off again, cleaning done!

Punky & Dustykitten...I jammed for the first time recently too...made real proper wild blackberry and apple jam all on my own. Was stunned that not only was it edible, it was actually incredibly flavoursome, really delicious. I was singing too cos I was so chuffed with myself!!

  • I am an ex-follower of FlyLady, was doing really well and then fell by the wayside. My pathetic reason for giving up originally was that my digital timer used up so many batteries, as I was really going for it, that I just stopped completely. The other day I was in one of the Pound shops and while I was in there I bought a very basic old-fashioned white wind-up timer with the intention of starting again with FlyLady.

Then I came across this thread by accident, and it couldn't have come at a better time, now I have the inspiration to re-start.

In fact I'm very pleased with myself as today I actually tackled a gardening job that has been long overdue and through the use of the timer I split the 3 different gardening jobs into several alternate 15 minute sections and completed it. I had been putting these jobs off for so long as there seemed too much to do, but splitting it into 15 minute sections really did work.:j

I'm back to Baby steps, but it's a start, and my sinks always shine as that was always easy to keep up with and makes such a difference.
