Right - Been busy all day with DD

Done some shopping but house is a tip.

    Need to

    Do ironing (yes there's more)
    Clean kitchen (inc mopping floor)
Clean grill pan (after cooking tonights burgers)
    Make burgers
(kind of swap the last 3 round and it'll work better)
sort out kids clothes for morning
sit with recipe books and make a decent meal plan for next week - freezer just about empty so I'm going to have to cook next week.

    Right

    off

I'm new here lurk mostly but happy with my 'flying start'.

    How about energising music?
The only way is up!? Sure that is what they were singing on Titty Bang Bang - hilarious;) But they were referring to Simon Cowell's trousers.
I have got loads of things done today, tea was sorted by 10am :) but now I am knackered. I did iron about 8 shirts yesterday so I am happy with the way things are today. May ask a child to sweep the hallway (long job)
'Flying' at someone else's house tomorrow - and getting paid :) Ironing (please let there be no king size duvet cover this week!) cleaning, dusting, laundry, hoovering, emptying the bins.

OOh - I knew there was something:

How long should it take to iron a shirt? I want to know if I'm doing something dreadfully wrong, or to take less care, or something :o

not strictly flying. Then again not strictly not, either......

takes me between 3 mins to iron but about 5 from picking it up to putting on the hanger and buttoning up everyother button
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

It takes my hubby about 15 minutes per shirt.. ROFL!!!

AND he iron creases into the sleeves which I never do.. I fold them off centre then I*R*O*N the top then fold them along the seam and I*R*O*N the rest.. bit faffy but I HATE sleeve creases with a passion.

Takes me about a minute because I hate it so much.

I run over the back then each front in turn then each sleeve as described above then occasioanlly the collar, but they are usually ok as they are stiff.

Come on TNG.. how long does it take you??

    Firstly - :T :T :T :T :T :T on your stairs (wanna do mine? :D)

As for the ironing thing - probably between 5 and 10 minutes per shirt. That includes sleeve creases :o

I think I need to take a bit less care......

  • evening.

Not managed a lot today. did do some ironiing, and get some xmas pressies ordered online.

also managed a quick kitchen tidy, put the washing up away, and one load through the WM.

i also played with the baby for about an hour.

i really want to get the bedding changed. That keeps rolling over a day. IT is quite tricky to do things one handed. I guess i'll get better at it. ;)

how about walking on sunshine for our flying song? Gosh - no limit, i was 13 or 14 in y9 at school then. So at least 13 or 14 years ago. :rotfl:

    hello flygang :o

Been keeping a low profile, as Im so exhausted at the mo, dont know whats wrong with me  Not sleeping that well and having a few sicky feelings  On top of this Ive had to sort out some conveyancing niggles ( hex, hows yours going?) and doing loads of cooking trying to make something out of the storecupbaord.

Nayway, the flats a tip and I will care about it tomorrow. :) its not bad enough to warrant me doing anything about it now- although tomorrow I anticipate the balance will have tipped

Glad you are all doing so well- love and hugs to all

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
