Right, so let me get this straight, pondsaver gives us a daily task to do, which is different every day. Is that right? So I do all the regular daily jobs as normal and pondsaver's as well? Do I need to catch up with you guys on the flyladys babysteps?
Sorry for all the questions but I want to do this properly!

Set your own tasks for the day. if you can get pondsaver's done too, brill. No one needs to catch up with anyone. Go at your own pace, what you're comfortable with :D

Don't forget to have cake now and again :D

edit : hark at me, banging on like an 'old timer' :rotfl:

  • its all about building routings into your daily schedule whithout feeling overwhelmed - so eventually you will do things without noticing.

i started by doing flyladys babysteps - not very good at links but there must be one somewher on the thread I took notice of some of it and didn't of other bits and now have biult myslef a morning routing and a evening routine something like this

get up get dressed to shoes!!
do one load of washing aday
always shine your sink - so you are more inclined to deal with pots straight away or hide in DW straight away also coming downstairs in the am to a nice shining sink rather than a load or dirtys in there is great

flylady seperates the house into zones this week we are on the kitchen zone and I will post kellys task ( flyladys assistant i think) of the day I usually do it time permitting and then slowly but surely you find things coming together.

Do take a min to look at her site though especially the babysteps bit http://www.flylady.net/pages/begin_babysteps.asp not sure if I have done that right.

Don't feel overwhelmed the whole point of it is to get some routine and order into your life and household.

  • Additionally, I have a small notebook and pencil in my pocket. When I spot something that needs doing, rather than being sidetracked, I write it down, to deal with later.

Right, finally made it back here :rotfl:

[STRIKE]Clean bathroom - daily clean and put new "save-a-flush" in the cistern thats just arrived! [/STRIKE]
    Clean Kitchen
Wash dishes [STRIKE]/ put away dry ones, [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] Re-assemble hoover (washed filter and been waiting for it to dry)[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE] Tidy up[/STRIKE]
    Washing out on line (bedding)
    [STRIKE] Dry washing away[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] Wet washing (clothes) on hangers/airers to dry[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE] Blitz desk[/STRIKE]
    Sort out ebay pile.

Couldn't do the bedding as it was 2.30pm by the time the other washing finished, another 50 minutes for the cycle would make it nearly 3.30 when the washing would go out which is too late for it to start drying.

Kitchen was tidied, but not cleaned. :o Still need to sort out my ebay pile as I've added another box worth of stuff to it today :rotfl: Got to go and sort out DD now... will try to get back tomorrow ;)

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • So today:

e-mail to trading standards - written
    doc's appoinmtment - made
    prescriptions - ordered
laundry - washed, ironed, put away
    chipped plate - mended
    swim club subs - paid
school trips - both paid for
guide camp - form completed and paid for

Children had school photos taken a couple of weeks ago, but the company has managed to lose all the money from the school   To say sorry they've enclosed a pack of 5 key rings, and a set of 10 small photos for each child. Guess what the grannies will be getting for christmas!

TNG, are you doing any flying, or just talking about refreshment? At least talk about cleaning :D
