Hi, I would really like to join in with this, but how do I get started? Do I have to make my own chores list or are you all doing the same? My house is tidy, but maybe not as clean as it should be:o
Any help gratefully accepted!:smileyheaRachel xx0 -

1. Shine your sink
2. Hot spots - the areas that are always messy, even 10 minutes after tidying them.
3. 15 minutes on one job - see how much you get done
4. Cup of coffe and a muffin
Have I missed anything ......?:dance:There's a real buzz about the neighbourhood :dance:0 -
how do you make a white belfast sink shiny?????????
(no this is not a joke and does not have a hilarious punch line!!!)
I fill the sink with bleachy water every night so I can scrub down the table which is usually covered in a liberal coating of lemon curd, jam and ketchup! the sink cleans itself basically.

Hello, Flyers! Been a busy Penguin this morning, so sitting down waiting for the BM to finish so I can have my sausage sarnie and cup of tea.
Laptop returned - still not working, so message sent to Acer asking what they plan to do about it.
Got another letter for a Mr Smith, who has never lived here. Registered him on MPS and TPS. I think this might be some sort of marketing scam. Thread here, if you're interested.

TNG, where are you going that MSE will be inaccessible. I'm sure a chap of your calibre will be able to set up a wireless network on Mars! Is it further away than that?
Rebl - what I've really taken from Flylady is Baby Steps. Don't expect to get everything done in one day. As Flylady says, my house didn't get this untidy in one day! I do 15mins of work in each of 3 rooms. I use a timer, so I stick to it. I then have 15mins doing something for myself - as TNG says, coffee and muffin is good! It's amazing how much I get done that way.
Additionally, I have a small notebook and pencil in my pocket. When I spot something that needs doing, rather than being sidetracked, I write it down, to deal with later.
See you all later, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
I really need to join in, my house is desperate since starting my new job  family are helping with day to day stuff, but things like cupboard doors, walls in hall etc are starting to look scruffy, also need to finish off garden before really cold weather sets in, needs weeds pulled out and if this sun keeps up(I'm not complaining), lawns are going to need yet another final cut  and my front door and outside windows are shameful :embarasse I will start properly on sunday, oh is working and dd is at a sleepover on saturday night, ds will be out playing with friends, gathering mud for my staircarpet :rotfl: so for today, not that theres much of it left, I will run around doing a quick tidy, and will write a list of things to do, and tomorrow, I'll make the place look presentable for the weekend, hoover through, wipe around bathroom and mop floors. I'll be back with my list later today if I get time, if not, I'll post it tomorrow.

Morning FLYbabes & FLYboy. Sorry it's taken so long to post but I'm still recovering from Pigpen telling us she's got 8 kids and wants more. I struggle with 1
In all seriousness DH is working from home and hogging the office so I've not had a chance to post.
Welcome Rebl43 :hello: Good to have you aboard. Start with the basics. Build up a routine of daily habits i.e. Make beds, Empty DW. load WM, iron one load, swish bathroom, shine sink then add 15 mins a day for hotspots then try and follow Flylady's task in each of the zones, throwing in the odd 27 fling boogie to help declutter your home. Before you know it you'll be a domestic goddess and the envy of your neighbours!! In reality you'll spend so much time on here talking about what you hope to do and laughing with the FLYgang you'll get nothing done :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Chipps - I was in agony after having wisdom teeth taken out - hope you feel better soon :grouphug:
TNG /FLYboy- DON'T LEAVE ME I'LL BE BEREFT WITHOUT YOUWhere you going?
Anyhow, would like to post a gigantic list of all the things I've achieved so far today but I can't as I've done NOTHING!!!! except take DS to preschool, pick him up, make him lunch and buy an olive tree with my mum!
So I really need to get my a**e in gear and start by finding a diswasher repair man...
