At what point did I say "the app for the case"?

Apple are giving you a free case for your iPhone, but people are winging about the fact that it won't be there within the 30 days.

So what?

Spend 99p on eBay, instead of downloading a copy of Monkey Island 2 (ok - that ones £4.99, but it's a classic game - I'm Guybrush Threepwood, mighty pirate) and see if having a case works.

It's not going to be a great case for 99p, but you only want to make sure that it fixes the problem. If you are feeling really tight (say you've just downloaded both Monkey Island apps), try wrapping clingfilm round the edge of the phone and then cutting holes for the buttons. Sellotape across the connection works too.

But for the love of Grogg (another MI reference), don't come on here and winge about the fact that Apple are going to take 5 weeks to issue 3m bumpers and cases!!!

The app won't load on my 3gs how can i get a free case? This is awful 5 weeks ......5weeks and the app wont work

O2 are advising customers who may have ordered via Apple's US store to check the T&Cs on the UK store. I don't know if there's something in there that might be different but it could be worth checking out.
