That's a brilliant idea! I'm love savoury food more than sweet stuff, so it sounds perfect to me... I bet it was a talking point too!

when's your wedding? i'm leaning towards cupcakes myself so would be interested in purchasing said stand...!

I think I'm making ours. I did a test run last year with a chocolate cake for the base, and sponge as a top layer. We want three layers, but can't agree on the third flavour. I'd like to do another run with three layers, but we'll never get through all the cake!

I've been playing with decoration for the last couple of years, but will probably use fresh flowers on top of the stacked cake, with maybe a ribbon around each layer. I haven't found anything that's stuck out yet!!

Although, with loads of family and friends visiting in the two weeks up to the wedding, I might decide my time is better spent with them yet. Need to find a local cake person just in case!!
