I'm getting a four tier 'wonky' cake for £300. All sponge, but each tier in a different flavour - chocolate, lemon, White choc & raspberry (2 tiers in this flavour). Should be enough for approx 95 servings (got about 75 people coming)...

    This was ours:

    J09.jpg

Cost £250 including delivery and set up. We had a chocolate sponge bottom tier, then a lemon sponge middle tier and a gluten-free chocolate sponge top tier (each tier was layered with the sponge and ganache - lovely and gooey). We had little choice in cake maker as most couldn't/wouldn't do gluten-free (hubby has coeliac disease). But luckily this one did the best cake I tried anyway! The whole cake was covered in white chocolate scrolls.

Was big enough to feed 80 but we ended up with half a tier to take home so our venue must have cut small pieces. :D

Supplied by Cake Flair, near Ipswich.

  • We wanted something a bit different so opted for a cheese wedding cake - it cost £180 for around 10 kilos of different types of cheese. Not everyone's cup of tea as it sways away from the traditional, but it looked fantastic and was a massive hit with the guests!

haven't bought the wedding cake but thinking of going down the m&s route.

OH and I really like the Romantic Pearl Cake (which is £199) and while OH would also like 48 Vanilla or Chocolate Cupcakes as well (£35 also at M&S) i really really want the m&s Noah's Ark cake (£45) just because it has the cutest two elephants on the deck of the ark and i'm crazy about elephants!

although i've been banned from having elephants as a theme cause OH thought they would look silly! i don't mind everything else has fallen in with a theme of summer, butterflies and just general happiness but dammit i want that cake lol

Im having a 5 tier cake.

Top and bottom tiers with ribbon round, middle three tiers with the vows on them. "To have and to hold" "to love and to cherish" "from this day forward"

Mixture of flavours - (from bottom up) Fruit, Sponge, Chocolate, pink lemonade & marble cake.

Price is £250 inc delivery and setup at the venue. Shes a local lass, i think maybe in her 2nd or 3rd year of doing cakes. She does alot of birthday cakes. Really amazing some of the shapes of cakes she makes.
