if ya fancy just a wave in ya hair try setting with big rollers and give ya hair a spritz after with a de frizzer, ive used aveda and avon in the past massive difference in price but not in the results, so id say ya dont have to spend a bomb to make it look good.
give ya self an evening if ya can to try out different things and see what works for you.
also i heard that putting a drop of vinegar in the final rinse also made ya hair shiney, not tried that tho either, but will give it a try now.Nobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission

I have been using GHDs now for 3 years - and I have tried many others, and believe me nothing comes close. Yes, they are expensive, but they work. I have really thick, bushy wavy, frizzy hair, and they always leave my hair straight and shiny. I shampoo/condition with Dove - really is good on my hair, and then after towel drying I use Asdas Shine Serum (£1.36) much better than the expensive John Frieda Frizz Ease. I then blow dry and then straighten in sections. I also, do all this in the evening, mainly due to lack of time in the morning, but a good nights sleep seems to help. Then in the morning, all thats needed is a brush through.
You can also create curls and twists with them, an instruction booklet is included.
The other thing with GHD is their excellent customer service. They always replace them if you have any problems.Only 5% of those who can give blood, actually do!

Are rollers easy to use? And is it best to use heated ones? How about curling tongs? I'm still not sure that straight hair is really me - I'm kind of used to my tousled mop, just want to tame it a bit!! Don't want to splash out on anything until I'm sure I know what I want to buy - I am useless at doing things to my hair so it's got to be quick and easy!!
Thanks for all the replies so far.0 -
How about fine hair that's had a perm? Would these solutions work?0

I find rollers easy to manage on my hair, its about 3 ins below shoulder length, my daughters however is down to her bottom, and i have to use curling tongs on hers, with mine being naturally curly i dont seem to need the heated rollers i use the self rolling type, it stays ok for the day, the tongs i use are the really tiny ones to give my daughter the ringlet curl look.
Its difficult to say what would be best for your hair with not seeing it, maybe you could pop into a local hairdressers and ask what they would use for the best results, you could also check if they have any trainees in at the same time that could try different styles on you see which looks/works best, also local colleges have trainee days that may be styling rather than colouring, it may be worth a try.
I wouldnt suggest you go out and buy everything until your sure whats best for you, maybe you could borrow some of the things from a friend or maybe have a friend come round and try different styles etc on you, alternatively buy from a supplier with a money back gaurentee, then at least if its not for you then you can return for a refund/exchange.
Good luckNobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission

lol at the idea of using a horse shampoo.
So the folks in boots and superdrug are buying hair products for the nag, and the person in the saddlers is buying nag shampoo for themself.lol.
Horse shampoo for horses is a rip off, but I guess for the lady in her quest for beauty, tis a small price to pay!0
