ETF's in ISA taxed?

I read an article on investorchronicle (Titled The dark side of ETF) which mentioned that gains in ETF's not domiciled in the UK are taxed EVEN IF they are within an ISA.
Subsequent reading on the web gave mixed views on the topic like an article on ft[.]com (Titled Income tax hit for ETF investors) says the gains on ETF's in an ISA's are tax-free.

Does anyone know which one is correct (or any website where guidance for this can be found)?
If some ETF's are taxed EVEN within ISA, what is the best way to find/filter them?

Thanks
