Gooood afternoon ladies (no men I dont think?!;))
Bit late for me today - this morning was in a rush getting dd2 ready for her leaver's do today - last day at primary:(
Had the assembly first thing - so emotional hearing them all singing together, and photos of them on a screen, bless:o

Off back to school to wave them away as they go in a limo to Pizza Hut, then back at 6.30 for their disco...a lovely last day for them.

Not much else going on for me - sooo glad the hols are here!!
    Here's my list:
    • check banking - all ok
    • daily scratch
    • no packed lunch for dd2 - school supplying chippy lunch:D
    • washing on quickwash and on the line
    • lunch from store
    • low spend day - money for chips for dd1 and a drink or 2 for me while dd2's at the disco
    • post lovefilm dvd
Hmmm, that's all I can think of. Have a great day everyone - hooray for summer hols:beer:
I really need to sort out a new signature!

    Hi everyone! :hello:

    Yay! It's Friday!! :j

Well done Wannabe!! That's great news aboutyour part time job!

And DNM, I am so glad you found out that you were safe, but I understand that it's awful about your colleagues who didn't fare so well. My company had a round of redundancies at the beginning of this year, and it's a really funny mix of emotions when you hear it isn't you....sort of relief mixed with guilt.

Ooops, that sent before I meant it to! Don't have too much on the DFW list today:
    • Have meetings at either end of the day so can use work Oyster card which is good.
    • Eat lunch from home
    • Check banking
    • Read new stuff from Sc0ttish Power - they have accepted us to switch over!!
    • Post the shoes I sold on Ebay
Think that's it for now. Hope everyone has a good Friday :D

    Jo :)

Just made myself laugh outloud by grouting the shower in my bra and knickers - I forgot the window cleaner was due today! :rotfl::rotfl:Thankfully I'd finished by the time he got here!
My first foray into the world of DIY - looks ok so far - have to see what its like when its dry.

Hi everyone - schools out for summer! What a swanky day for your DD Milly!
B broke up the other day and T finished at 1 today, I can't believe how quick his first year has gone! B and I spent the morning flying round the shops, handing out a CV that we wrote for her at my work yesterday. She is looking for a summer / saturday job but she is just a bit too young really (14). She also asked about volunteering in a charity shop and will hopefully hear back later.

    BTW, Well done Wannabe01.

    Today I:
    1) Checked banking, quidco, did SC etc - all at about 6 this morning as OH accidentally woke us up when he left.
    2) Bought T two tops and two pairs of trousers for 40p each in a charity shop. :)Very nice they are too.
    3) Bought camping equipment for B's scout camp all from the 99p shop - it has a brilliant camping range!
    4) Bought 2 pizzas for £1.29 each, instead of going to Pizza Hut for our usual end of year blow out. All other meals from stores.
    5) Washing drying outside.
    6) Best of all - cleared one of my CCs completely. :j:j:jI expect there will be a couple of pennies of interest next month but when I pay that I will close that card. I have now paid over 60% of my debt off since my LBM.
    7) Off to the park in a mo with T and a book for a relaxing afternoon.

La Escocesa - £50 a month is still a very good step in the right direction. I spent my first year or so on this thread learning to live within my means, changing my mindset about spending and just being thankful I wasn't increasing my debt every month. It is only since T started school and I could stop paying childcare most weeks that I have really been able to make a dent in the debt.

    See you later, L x

    Oh-er missus - sounds like something out of a Carry-On Film!:rotfl:
