Friday 23rd July - What small DFW things have you done today??!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
:D

Hi everyone
Thought I'd get the tread started since I've already been up for 40mins!!
It's payday and the excitement of online banking just got a bit too much for me :rotfl:
Not going to do too well with debts this month (too many expenses!) but even if it comes down by £50 or £60 then it's heading in the right direction...right?!
Here's my list:- Lunch from home
- Find something to do at lunchtime - don't want to go to the pub with colleagues
- Sort picnic for tomorrow
- Not call anyone
- Take cash out to last till next payday!! I will not use my card, I will not use my card...
- Find a coin or two for the jar
- Super-quick shower
- Smile cos its payday

Morning La E & Cat (and everyone throughout the day!) happy Friday :j. La E I totally know what you mean about the excitement of payday (although of course its virtual money!) I was so excited about clearing my od on Tuesday I was up the moment my eyes opened and I ran down to grab some coffee and start paying it off! Definately £50/60 off the debt is better than nothing or the debt increasing

So I went to the meeting yesterday with senior management. I still have a job (49 of my colleagues are not so lucky) however between me and another manager (we both run 2 scheme's) there is 1 manager's position and 1 asst manager's position. We have to interview for the managers role. I'm ok with this but he has been my mentor for 6 years so feel a bit weird about becooming his manager if it went that way. At least I still have a job, not feeling 100% secure atm....

Its wicked a chineese lady who is a cook has done a whole thread giving recipes to make hm takeaways :j) mmmm was so good and cost about £7.50 for 2 ppl (i looked at the chineese takeaway menu and it costs £16! :j) I would definately recommend as a treat

After a not very DFW day yesterday (we went to Beaulieu
) I need to be super-good today.
Very short list for today is as follows:- fed and watered chickens. Hopefully there will be a few eggs in return
- made lunch to take to work
- enjoy the day as it's accounts today, and the boss is in Germany so peace will reign
Tomorrow DD, DGD and I are off to the Cotswolds for the day so not a very DFW day there either. We will be taking a picnic lunch but I expect a cream tea might sneak its way in too

DFW day for you tomorrow mum but not me as it's my treat!
Evening in last night with DB3 and his stupid GF. I ordered some chips from the pub to take away...only to find I'd left my money at work!!! So his GF had to pay (only £2.60) I think she got the hump about this and didn't really speak to me for the rest of the evening, except to snub the fact I keep a frozen pizza in my freezer for emergencies, she only buys fresh ones of course............
Anyway, my list for today:-
- Have HC drying on airer
- Put £10 fuel in on CC  I have money in my bank but ex has my debit card....grrr:mad:
- Reclaim said debit card from ex
- Go through my work in progress
- Sell 1x purge, I have 1x opportunity so must maximise on this!
- Set a load of HC to run over night tonight
- Do more OnePoll, getting closer to £40 every day!
- Lunch and snacks from stores, was up early so made sandwiches
Feeling very upbeat and positive today, feel like it's going to be a productive day!
JxNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -

take little dog for a walk
put washing away done (I don't iron unless I really have to, but I did learn an interesting fact the other day whilst I was watching garbage tv, the purpose of ironing originally wasn't to just make the clothes nice it was to kill the lice eggs paying special attention to the seams as that was where there where most of them, eugh!!)
take ebay photos if I get time, (if not you will see this on tomorrows list)

Clear computer cupboard out
