Northern Rock ISA recommended !

I looked at the list of the best ISA's & decided to go for the Northern Rock ISA Breaker issue 2 (3%), filled in the application form, wrote a cheque out, sent it on Tuesday & received confirmation today that an account has been opened - how quick is that ???
Just waiting for the cheque to be cashed (is it 3 or 5 working days ?)
so for anyone considering which ISA to open, the NR has full marks from me so far !
1 Year Fixes:
3.00% :starmod: NEW :starmod:
Minimum deposit: £500.
Notes: Fixed until 15/07/2011.
(sorry i can't post the link, but it's in the "Mini Cash ISAs: The Best ISAs currently available List" thread)

Cheques normally take 5 days to clear. I also have an ISA with Northern Rock, the Stepped 5yr ISA which was withdrawn just a bit ago, no regrets yet as the rate is starting to look good when you look at other Cash ISA rates!
Year 1 3.5%, Year 2 4%, Year 3 4.5%, Year 4 5%, Year 5 5.5% :j0 -

My Dad also had good service from NR when he transfered from the Halifax to N Rock FRISA Issue 133.
Initial application went posted on the 11/6
Confirmation of receipt dated 16/6 received back 17/6
Certificate of deposit dated 23/6 confirming transfer received 24/6
Can't complain.
My Mum received similar, although not quite as quick service when transferring from the Halifax to Aldermore a few weeks later (the above N Rock Issue had been withdrawn by then).

Thanks I'm going to look into this as the Post Office 3% 1 year fixed seems to of been withdrawn today?0

I believe he's refering to the product in the original post, the 3% ISA. As i've checked on the NR website and it does statetransfers of Cash ISAs from other providers are not permitted
I was quite chuffed that my Stepped ISA allowed transfers in, but shame you can't contribute more over the next few years!0 -

Ye, OK.
The 1 year Fixed (issue 137) at 2.8% does though.
As mentioned the experience my Dad has was good. We had looked at the Post Office 3% but decided against in favour of NR.
