Think it's oldish. You also get the option to save locally as a .PDF file - much better idea in case t'internet dies just after the dog has eaten your tickets...

It says that when you have checked in online. If people cannot be arsed to read it then they deserve to pay an extra £40 each way

    Question 1.
If the dog eats the tickets can I blame Ryanair?
    Question 2.
The dog weighs 11kg, can I take it as hand baggage?
    Question 3.
If we arrive 45 seconds before the flight is due to depart, is this enough.

PS. the dog is called O'leary

Could you explain why you would deserve to pay an extra £40 each way if you cannot be arsed to read it.

Because they are the T&C's you agree to before booking a flight.

Each boarding pass must be printed and presented on an individual A4 page. Any passenger failing to present their online boarding pass at airport security or at the boarding gate will be charged a Boarding Card Re-issue Penalty of £40/€40 per person/per one way flight at the airport self service kiosk or ticket desk.

thanks to glenderg for posting this information - I've flown many times with ryanair but always thought the cut-off point was 4 hours as it tells you in terms and conditions. Mind you I'm one of these who likes to print them off as soon as I possibly can just in case!

No... there's likely to be some confusion here!

The online check-in cut off is still four hours before departure. Read the T&C statement carefully (with my emphasis):
    IMPORTANT
If you experience any difficulty printing your boarding pass(es) please note that they can be reprinted at any time up to 40 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. To reprint your boarding pass(es) simply follow the online check-in link on Ryanair.com and input your details to reprint.

Note that first line: If you experience any difficulty printing your boarding pass(es) **not** If you experience any difficulty checking in. What this means is that you must still check-in online at least four hours before departure, but that if - once successfully checked in - your printer goes loopy and stops working, you can still ask for it to be manually reprinted at the airport.

This is the same basic rule about home printed boarding passes that don't scan. In that instance, in which it is clear you have done everything you can to comply with the T&Cs but the technology is not working, you will also be able to get the boarding pass reprinted for free. But if you arrive at the airport having not checked in online, you will be charged £40.
