The above rates stb's for ease of use, however none for sale in the UK are
any where near acceptable for OAPs or partially sighted imho, I am currently researching the possibility of having same very easy to use USA stock imported and converted.
Maybe you could combine a humax with:

One solution which will work with any TV and any receiver is to get a programmeable remote. You can programme it so that the press of one button will perform a number of tasks. For example press the button for "Watch TV" and it switches on TV and also switches on the receiver and any other equipment. You can programme it to perform any tasks you want.
Something like this basic model would suit your needs.

My mum is 80 and has got on fine with freeview etc for the last few years.
She has the same brand tv (Sony) and the same DVD recorder (Panasonic) as we do, so if she has any problems it easy to talk her through things on the phone. I have done the retunes for her, but apart from that she has few problems.
Having the same brand usually means the same or very similar menu and setups.0 -
