There is no point guessing, different network managers will use different formats. In this case it is shown in the link I gave above, along with the link to login through and network support.0 -
Giving an example is not guessing!0

I'd contact the IT Dept at college as they will probably be more help than your tutor. I say that in my position as a personal tutor. Lol
I usually send my students with problems to see the techies
At my college, on the college website there is a link called staff and student login, that takes you through to the login screen. If your password doesn't work, it is possible tat it was a temporary one and has either expired or you've entered it wrongly too many times and you have to ring to get your id unblocked and password resetNoli nothis permittere te terere

Did you try what Lokolo suggested re the username? That is the most likely solution. If not there is an e-mail address and phone number for the college's network team on the staff/learner's link. I would link directly but can't as writing this on my phone.

I may be not helping in the slightest here but have you already started the course? If you are due to start in september/october they might not yet have activated the accounts for new students as its only july? If so I would wait until at least August as you are not yet officially a student?Challenge savings 2010-2016 £1564.60:j

I dont know about anyone else but my student email address is accessed through outlook.
On your gateway/portal page when you click on email and it asks for username password you may need to put network\email address as you are accessing it outside of collage/uni.
thats what we have to do anyway
