My divorce was £80, and yes I did have a divorce solicitor acting on everything for me, I just had to sign forms and send them back to her, she sorted it all!
In the end I was refunded £50 so I only paid £30, I should have got that back from HM Courts but they failed to send me my refund and by the time I contacted them, the 6 months I have to apply for a refund had passed.

Reason mine was free was because I applied for all costs at the start of proceedings to be sent to my ex.

I'd heard you could get it done online for about £40 or something.....is that a myth?.....or are there ways of doing it this way (and more to the point, ways of doing it this cheap)??? .....thanks :)

The online charges don't usually include the court fees, so really you are just paying £40 or whatever for someone to fill the form in for you.
Here I go again on my own....
