Hi I am 7 months through my TalkTalk contract but they are trying to charge me a disconnection fee even though I am leaving the country. I can understand if i was moving to one of their unbundled exchanges but I'm not!
Can anyone help with this - how do I get it waived?

How is moving countries any different to moving counties as far as a contract is concerned?Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

How much are they charging you? Have a look here and check if it's right.

Imagine what you would have paid before June!0 -
Much as I detest Talk Talk, they did not force you to enter an 18 month contract.
I only ever use companies with a 30 day contract.0 -
Why should you get it waivered for?? How are you any different to anybody else? You are choosing to terminate a contract less than a 3rd of the way through. Surely you knew 7 months ago you'd be leaving the country?0
