How do you use a calculator?

If you bought your Euros (say) at 1.20 euros to the £ then if you saw something costing 10 euros simply dive 10 by 1.2 (10 / 1.2 = £8.33)

If you bought euros at 1.18 euros to the £ then something costing 38.50 euros would cost (38.5 / 1.18 = ) £32.63

If you had a currency converter app, it may need to connect to the internet which could incur charges, and also it may show you "today's" rate which may vary from the rate that you bought your money at.

Just found an app in the app store with an icon which matches what you've described.

It's called The Currency Converter and is £1.19.

Not having used this app myself (As I said I use XE which is totally free) it says in the info, "To change the value of your primary currency, tap on the number on the top to reveal the keyboard. Enter the value of your primary currency and you'll see the conversion rates for all other currencies"

Here is a link to the website for this app

    Hope this is of use.

I use currency converter and had to custom add a formula as there wasn't one there. However, you could use this http://www.xe.com/iphone/

That's the one I use too. It's very good indeed.
