HTC Desire Delivery Reports

I have free of charge unlimited txt's on my Orange Dolphin 25 package but while checking this morning my usage since last bill noticed a £6.00 charge for txt's. When queried it transpired that because I had my desire set to give me delivery reports Orange were charging me 9p for every delivery report for every txt I sent out. As a massive txt'er I wasn't best pleased.

They said that as I'd recently upgraded and the phones set for reports, they'd refund the money and advise to turn off the delivery report setting.

So be warned, even though it's not an actual SMS your getting turn the setting of delivery reports OFF!

My desire has them turned of by default, couldn't even tell you how to turn them on

It's not 9p it's 0.9p with with vat give 1p.

Orange have charged for these for years. . .

my mistake, good job it wasn't 9p as it could have worked out as approx. £30.00!

People obviously need to check the small print as not something they're gonna make public.

Then tick or untick the Delivery reports box.

You can also use this to control things like the phone vibrating when you send or receive a message, or making a noise when you receive one.
