Moving Sky HD Box to different house

Just had sky fitted this morning via the best buy offer. Had it fitted into what will be my living room, but I need a few weeks to finish decorating/carpet etc before I'll have a chance to watch it in that room.
My parents have a old sky box in use with no subscription, ie they have a single cable from the dish as it wasn't a sky+ box.
Is it possible for me to move my new sky+ hd box and use it at my parents for the next few weeks. I understand the recording part won't work as I only have one feed, but will the box itself be fine to get all my subscription channels?
