HTC Desire missing £ sign

Even though im almost 100% sure i set the phone up for english uk i cant seem to find the £ sign when sending a message , only the $ sign .
Anyone else found this i have i boobed somewhere with the set up ?

Try going to your keyboard then symbols then capitals - should be extreme right second row down.

(I use a Swype keyboard on the Desire and that is where it is for me)

If it's the standard keyboard, go to numbers by perssing the "12#" key. Then press the "1/2" key. It's on there. Bit of a pain that you have to go through two screens to get to it.

Many thanks Bill found it where you said , like you say a bit of a pain but at least i know where to find it now
