I love your chickens Linda. My auntie used to have chickens and I loved feeding them and collecting the eggs when I was little...I bet your kids love them too?

SRM - My DD's are chalk and cheese when it comes to school work too - one does her best and strives for top marks, the other couldn't give a monkies and is only there for the social life.

They're lovely, they all have their own little characters and they're very nosey.
They quickly learned that the kitchen is the source of all things tasty, when I open the coop they all scuttle through the garden, down the steps and straight into the kitchen to see if there's any cat food down or crumbs on the floor.
When it rains, do they return to the shelter of their coop?
.....Nope, they bolt for the house and like to settle down on the door mat and go to sleep. They love to eat woodlice and sweetcorn amongst many other things.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.

I love that song. :) My grandad sang it to me once. Well, attempted to, he's never been the world's greatest singer! :rotfl:
