hey all
I didn't get job but I'm not disappointed! I had excellent feedback, the only thing that let me down was lack of management skills within the organisation. They were so impressed with me that they want to train me up to gain the management skills I lack so that next year when there will be a re-structured I'll be in a very strong positionso it's a very good outcome!
I'm off to Belfast for the weekend so I'll be MIA til Tues night.
Have a fab weekend all

It's a shame you didn't get the job flutterby, but it's lovely to get good feedback and i am pleased you are looking at the brightside. I can't help feeling some things happen for a reason and this wasn't the right time, so next year could be your year!
Feel a bit of an OS fraud lately as what with my injuries I can't really do much OSing although I did post and eBay item today and put another £4 in my £2 pot. My puppy was 6 five times in 90 mins this morning, I phoned the vets and we had an appt as he wasn't eating or drinking, but he eventually recovered so phoned them again and they said they didn't need to see him. I am so relieved as he is a tiny chihuahua and looked so frail shivering with weaknesses but he is back to running around like a lunatic with his big brother now!
Think there might be a thunder storm brewing. I do hope so, I love them. OH has just made me a tuna sandwhich to toodlepip and hugs to all xxxxxxxxxxxHmmm will add up debt and stick on on later!0 -
Flutterby - sorry you didn't get the job but looks as though you impressed them all the same
Well done and enjoy your weekend away.
JackieG - I had to "apply" to my local freegle group but TBH I don't use it all that much anymore. Got sick of the spam emails and time wasters who wanted the things I offered but couldn't be @rsed to turn or or let me know they didn't want it grrrrr.
Lamewolf - Nice to see you posting. If you worry you don't have anything interesting to say then whats my excuse
Having Bacon Cakes for tea. They are now cooked just need to cook my veg to go with itFeel tired, was awake at 4am hearing the milk being delivered and took ages to go back off to sleep. Need a strong coffee to pep me up (either than or matchsticks).

Taplady and Doelani - it could be the weather, maybe you aren't getting enough sleep (or good enough quality sleep) so they are down to tiredness? Although if you only have the headache when you wake up and it goes away through the day, ask your dentist to check if you might have been grinding your teeth in your sleep.
!
thanks CupOfChai! I am guilty of both - I sleep very poorly and also clench my teeth a lot:o however the headache is at various times of the day - last night when I went to bed. So far today I've been free of them:j
I've cooked DHs tea and taught DS2 how to make egg mayo sandwiches. Mowed all the lawns, been to the tip, done 3 loads of washing, ironed and thats it for me I think for today.
I'm now about to get change ready to go out for my meal - just got my feet in the footspa for a bit of a pamper:D
have a great evening all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Thanks for letting us know how you got on Flutterby, I am not surprised you impressed them TBH, and am delighted for you that it went so well. Have a brilliant time in Belfast.
The Sun Has Got His Hat On! Hip, Hip, Hip, Hooray!Thank goodness for that, the weather has taken a wee turn for the better, hopefully it will last longer than one night. My SweetPeas have enjoyed the rain though, they have grown six inches since Monday! Dinner tonight is quorn sausages mashed potatoes and french beans. I am starving and the spuds will fill me up nicely!
I bought another mirror today
I know, I know, but I really fancied one of those venetian style mirrors and Argos had one which was reduced from £79.99 to £22.99, and my local Argos was the only one in the vicinity with one left, so I had no choice but to buy it! This is it here, so the problem of where to put the £3 one is solved, it will be painted white and hung in the hall, and the fancy one is for the boudoir
I also have my eye on two lamps in TKMaxx which are £40 each, but they have been there six weeks, so they are due their reductions this weekend. Fingers crossed. I shouldn't be spending money, but I don't drink smoke or socialise, or buy clothes of shoes really, so my house in my indulgence, and we haven't done anything really since we moved in as we were skint, so its time to beautify it. OH should see the benefits of his hard work when he comes home, in a nice house. Think I convinced myself there, did I convince you lot? :rotfl:
Have a lovely evening everyone, hope you are all happy and safe.

JackieG you can always justify making your house beautiful, I do the same and if it makes you happy ...?
Flutterby you sound to have done a good job and glad you are upbeat about it. The experience will have been good for you and getting extra training is always a good thing. Enjoy your weekend away.
Julie that sounds scary, hope they are both ok now.
Managed to chivvy myself along, cleaned quite a lot, went to do my bit at the hospice and have just managed to cut the grass, it was still quite wet but it looks like rain again so it was this evening or not at all! Had a shower now and am going to chill out.
Those of you on the Harcombe diet - which book did you buy? Got a bit confused when looking on Amazon as to which one I need first.
Hope you all have a good evening. XX0 -
hello everybody,
Bit dopey today ( worse than usual) as my first text this morning was to tell me that a neighbour's 37 year old daughter had died last night. She had Downs syndrome and a hole in her heart from birth so it has been on the cards for a long time but knocked me for six. She had been in hospital for some weeks as she had a blood problem, had phoned her younger brother to bring her in some phone credit, while he was there she had an apparent asthma attack and just wasn't able to pull out of it...I am glad that he was there as they have always been thick as thieves, but we are all feeling very sad so to-day has been a strange one.
DD2 and grand-daughters are having a 'sleepover' with DD4 and DGS2, OH has gone to bed, so house is very quiet for first time this week.
Hugs to all, talk tomorrow

Aw Marie, have a big {{{hug}}} from me, for you and your friend's family. I grew up with a girls with Down's, so she would be the same age as your friends daughter, she passed away last year, and I know what a big void she has left behind.
