Urgent Present Help Please!!

Am I being overly suspicious, but is the reason the present was given out yesterday rather than last day, so that all the other parents could be made to feel uncomfortable and run out madly to get presents?
If this is prefectly normal, then ignore more, but it just seems odd to me? (but as mine is still a bump kicking me as we speak - I do not have experience in this at all).

I find it a bit daft, why not get a variety pack of chocolates if you feel you must do something, or even a cake? Kid's seem to cope better than the parents! They will be quite happy signing clothes.0

More money than sense!
No, actually I do not have "more money than sense" as you so 'un-nicely' put it.
I just want to thank people that have influenced my child in the last couple of years since starting the school......... I am not saying mega bucks... just a token... about a quid for each, that's all!
What the hell is wrong with that?0 -

Absolutely nothing. Unfortunately people do sometime forget that we're all individuals and as such we have our own preferences and choices. Personally I wouldn't be buying all the kids but if that's your choice then you don't have to defend it to anyone.
Second the Claire's suggestion, although that's not going to be very good for boys. Girls are sooo much easier to buy for.Herman - MP for all!

and thank you, daisyflower and blabberwort and pixiechic..
I ended up getting the two girls in her year (that are also leaving the school) a bath bomb and little chocolates which cost me a couple of quid each ...didn't buy the 9 boys anything but have ended up buying a couple of bags of sweets for the class!
Absolutely right Daisyflower.. I bet all those that told me I was taking it too far, tip their hairdressers, taxis etc...
My daughters teacher and the rest of the staff in the school have been amazing and she has excelled in the last couple of years... so much so that she was given an award this morning - the only one in school nominated by her headteacher who said she was an exceptional, respectful, capable, polite young lady.. I was so proud.. and that is not just down to me, but the school too... so yes, they absolutely deserve a bloody thank you!!!0 -

No, I didn't! claires suggestion was great, but I did end up finding some bath bombs reduced at sainsburys which were a bargain and got some choccies to go with it... narrowed it down to just the two girls who are leaving tomorrow too.. will send a couple of bags of funsize chocs in for the rest..0
