Cheapest way of getting a 32GB iPhone
Options
Hi everyone
Was in the Apple store today and it seems they don't sell the 32GB iPhone 3GS anymore, only the 8GB version I think it was. If I wanted 32GB, it was the iPhone 4 with a purchase price of £599, I think it was, and then I could go with any network.
I would like to get an iPhone for my wife. I tend to feel that it's usually best (more economical) to pay for the phone upfront. This is what I did when I bought mine (iPhone 3GS) from Tesco, on a low monthly tariff.
Is the Tesco route still a good one or is there something else I should be looking at?
My wife's usage for phone calls and texts will probably be relatively minimal. circa £25 a month at a rough guess.
Thanks for any help.

Are they reputable? Never heard of them before and when I try to click on the item, the site doesn't quite seem to function correctly...0

Yes, CeX are a well known and long established brand in this country. They don't have too many stores though, so it can be difficult to get to one. Whenever I've been to my local CeX, they've always had plenty of mobiles (about 1/4 of the shop full of them!) so shouldn't be a problem with stock. I think they also offer a guarantee for a few months, giving you added peace of mind.

CEX can be unreliable, Lots of posts in the net, People sending or taking items in to sell or exchange and the
shop doesnt have enough money.
Cheques bounce.
I used to use them years ago and they were fine, I tried buying a nintendo a couple of years bag and they were useless.
Ordered & reserved the item from another store, Delivery to that store would take 2 days, I phoned them 1st thing on the 3rd day
Still got boxes of stock unopened but checks the list, Yes its here.
Paid an arm and a leg to park in the multistorey, Went to the shop and nope its not here. No trace of it.
Never used them since. Read too many bad posts. They were close to shutting down.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Yes, I think I'd rather go with someone more tried and trusted. I know I said cheapest, but I guess I mean mainstream cheapest if you know what I mean.
I'm not averse to paying upfront for the handset. For that reason, I'm wondering about the Tesco option with the £20 a month tariff (which is what I went for when I got mine). A good option? I notice it seems to be regarded reasonably favourably in the MSE write-up on the subject...0
