It is deemed to be your income..for the benefit of the child. There is nothing stopping you transferring straight into their account. Wish I could do that!I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes0

It is not their money. It is paid to help with the costs of raising a child, not for the child.0 -
Yeah its for the costs of raising a child rather than for the child. However if you can manage without this benefit why dont you open yourself a seperate account in your name for the money to go into?Weight Loss - 102lb0

They won't pay it into the child's account under any circumstances.
My parents just transfer it straight into my account when it comes inNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
wish i could afford to keep it for my son his has to go on buying his nappies etc all i say is transfer it when it goes on your bank into his set it up for the same day it goes in and hey presto!"You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need"

If you do not need it and are sure you will be in this position for a long time get an endowment for your child.0

I'd get that checked, from my knowledge and experience. That is fraudNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
My sons child benefit gets paid directly into a nationwide smart account. Its my name re his name.
Its been like that since he was born0 -
if youre doing this so as the money is in their own account for a housing and council tax benefit point of view you will still be classed as receiving this money as the computer system creates CB automatically when you enter a child onto the system.
im not saying you are doing it for this reason but ive seen it done before and then people argue that it isnt strictly their money as its going into the childs account. There's someone in my head, but it's not me0
