Anyone got an iPhone Tesco Mobile contract?

  • A really helpful supervisor has just called me back, and she aggrees that my bill isn't right. All my internet usage, even when I know I'm on my own wifi network, is being billed as GPRS even though my phone says its connected to the internet.
She is getting an 'iphone expert' to call me, so I can check my settings are correct. I'm sure they are though. My previous iphone and my husband and son uses iphones on o2 on the same home network, without problems, so it seems its either a fault with Tesco mobile or my phone!
  • Well this is a mystery! I have used 900mb+ of data last month, I checked all my previous o2 bills and never went over 250mb, so even though I have used this phone less and not done anything different my usage has risen 4 fold? I have now switched off 3g and cellular data , so I can only connect wirelessly to my home network.
At the moment I am streaming radio, without problem, and will continue for about 30 mins, We'll see how this shows up on my bill tomorrow!
If it dosen't show, then the cellular data or the 3g on my phone must be 'taking priority' over wi-fi when they're switched on. IYSWIM

That's what I've done today, and I won't be switching it back on. Complete pain in the a** though if you've got to switch off 3g and cellular data every time you enter the house!!!

Would be interesting to know if this was happening on other networks too - if so it is a phone issue.
