getting apps for htc desire on orange?

Hi I have HTC desire on Orange. There is an icon to go on Orange app store. How do I go about getting apps from elsewhere? New to all this app stuff. Jo

Android market is the primary source of apps

Either that or just find them on the net (phone or pc) and bluetooth/drag and drop them over.

Thanks everyone.
have found the market app on my phone now.lol. bit embarrassed.
then couldn't get it to sync my google account to access it. eneded up with a hard reset through orange. got that to work and then had the thing where it stalled on the starting download but actually later this afternoon that seems to have resolved without me having to do anything specific to sort it out. so have successfully downloaded apps today.Woohoo.
loving my phone and going to check out some of the other links about using it to see if I can pick up any useful tips.
