Sunvisor Handsfree
Was wondering if someone could help, I am after a bluetooth handsfree kit for my vehicle, I need to transfer it from vehicle to vehicle as I will get a different one weekly, so after doing a search on google the sunvisor ones seems to be for me.
However, I need it operate 2 phones simultaneously, and for it to run it to run through the speakers as its a noisy van, but I can't seem to find exactly what I need, if it exists ? can someone point me in the right direction?
Many thanks!

Hi there
When you connect a phone to a bluetooth hands free kit, the hands free kit will not connect to any other phone. As a result, you would need two hands free kits to run two phones. The problem then is that you can't connect them both to the stereo (and how are you going to guarantee that the stereo will pair with a bluetooth device anyway? You say yourself that you'll be changing vehicles all the time). In addition, you are presuming that the sun visor of the vehicle you'll be driving will be able to take the weight of the bluetooth device when if you are driving lots of different vans, you could be in trouble with that and find the visor keeps falling down.
There is a halfway house solution.
Firstly, I take it one of your phones is for work and the other your private one. Here's what you do:
Record a message on your private phone that says "I'm either on the phone or driving. If you need to get in touch with me urgently, please call 07XXXXXXXXX (your work number) or leave a message and I'll call you back".
Buy a screen mount for your private phone and put the mount so that when your phone is in it, it's touching the dashboard top but off to one side. Put your private phone in it on "vibrate". The vibrations will resonate through the dash so you'll notice when someone is calling and be able to pull over if you want to talk to them or ignore it if you don't.
Buy one of THESE or similar for your work phone. It's got a built in mic and you can buy a CABLE to connect the device to your van stereo provided it has an "aux" port or just clip the thing to your jumper/shirt/whatever if you need to.
You can also buy sat navs that have bluetooth connections to a phone, which may be better for you.In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -
Well all the vans are the same 09/10 plate fiesta vans (with sunvisors that are okay), which normally are quiet, but its going to have quite a few tools in the back that rattle like hell
I have a mount for a phone that does my sat nav as well but is quite power hungry so its connected all the time to the cig lighter. i will have to just try to work around it I guess, its a shame that there is nothing on the market that does what I want.

oscar you are mistaken. there are a few bluetooth handsfree devices on the market that pair with two or more phones simultaeneously and also pair with stereo for output through car stereo or can use speaker of the device itself. i had recently read about it. will look for it and update here againbubblesmoney :hello:0
