Got my new iphone4 on friday and love it!
One problem though.......I cannot connect it to any wi-fi networks that require a password. Have tried to connect to my SKY broadband at home and just get an error message saying 'unable to join'
have tried it on my mums talk talk too and get the same message. Anyone have any ideas?
I've never had a smartphone before and so don;t really understand the difference between wi-fi and data, other than knowing wi-fi is free. I am clueless when it comes to any techie stuff.
Anyone help please?

The password is case sensitive - are you trying in uppercase?
Also - on mine (iPhone 3GS) if you are a certain distance away from the box, it won't work.0 -

I think it's more a ASCII/HEX problem. The OP still seems to use WEP, which he shouldn't anymore. It can be hacked within seconds. He should change it to WPA/WPA2.

Wifi uses your wireless network, data the 3G network of your network provider and counts towards your monthly allowance.0 -
