thankyou......I really don't know if this is for me, I didn't really want to go back into a large organisation again.....we'll see though....
Claire - I have jackets of many various smaller sizes
including one identical to the one I'm wearing today but it is 4 sizes smaller so doesn't yet fit.
Feel very strange waiting to get ready etc.

Good luck BB, though I'm sure you don't need it.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

Good luck BB - fingers crossed.
Morning all
Still "blugh" hot and muggy here, there's a slight breeze outside but the sun is blazing hot so unless you're in the shade it's just nasty.
Had a wander to the library, the snooty woman told me 2 of my books were "very late"...strange considering I'd renewed all 7 of them online last week....she made a huge fuss about waiving the fee just this once....
No NSD today, had a parcel to post, a sausage roll to buy (it was calling me)...have just reserved a really nice duvet cover in argos too, twas on the grabbit board, I really do need new bedding so I'm happy to spend £5 on a kingsized duvet cover.
LMC - Glad the green eyed monster has subdued a bit, long may it last...nice to see you back x"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Good luck BB- hope the interview goes well. It always tickles me when i see hump Wednesday- same as when i see scratch and bank
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Hi All.
I've painted the bedroom ceiling (paint is matt, old paint satin - so I can now see the big bit I've missed!!!) and am about to give the kitchen another coat. The plumber has been round to take the radiator off for me in the bathroom and told me if I need a gas certificate for letting out the house he can do that too! (Bless)
Have to go down to Barclays once I've finished the kitchen ceiling and get my Career Development Loan evidence certified. At this rate it won't be the only thing getting certified
Gemmzie - I think you can put something called Redex into the petrol to get the engine to run better.
Good luck BB - you sound on the ball.
Claire - All sounds good. I'm glad you're not weighing yourself. Once a week is enough. I haven't weighed myself for about 4 years, which is a considerable improvement on 5 times a day. It can become a bit obsessional.
Right, cup of tea and roller at the ready!

Pooky, Do you think she realised her mistake about half way through?:rotfl:
I once had a surgeon RANTING on the phone because he'd cancelled his operations for the day in West London and come out for an appointment with me in Oxford to revalue his council tax, and I wasn't there. I wasn't there because the appointment, that I'd arranged with his mother was the following week! Anyway I had a day in the office so I got on my bike and pedalled up to meet him. He was quite sheepish when I got up there! As I left I just said to him 'Don't be too hard on your mother when you see her' and smiled.

Just popped on before going out for a sandwich.
Beautiful sunshine down in the New Forest. Had my last cigarette last night so a stroll at lunch to the dry cleaners will hopefully provide distraction
Enjoy reading posts on here, just through that it helps me focus on the debt clearing that needs to be done!! (mind you, £6.70 every other day from cigarette savings should help!)
Have a good one, Si0 -
good luck BB

aww, thankyou lovely peeps.
I have seen a job come up where I used to work and anywhere else I would jump at applying. However, one of the people listed on the 'key relationships' would be Cruella........it wouldn't be daily contact but certainly regular contact. I also wonder if I'll be automatically black balled from there because of what happened. I know legally that they can't black ball me but I was well enough known for it to be a known part of my past. They have a new chief executive now (the old one was someone I had to submit my paperwork to when I decided to reveal everything that had happened) and it would take me back to working with some lovely colleagues from the past in the part of the building where I was once happy. The HR Director who dealt with it all has also left so apart from a couple of HR people, the only person left there with direct involvement is Cruella. I know the official line was they found no substance to my claim and that is the letter apparently on my file but the unofficial line was obviously very different.....
