Morning Jo and those who follow, really busy day today, trying to work out how to organise the day using the least amount of petrol, have gone through nearly £20 since Friday night!

In other news, my brother may be out of a job and moving back home :(

much fresher here, a little rain yesterday evening seems to have cleared the air.

Interview day today. Presentation done, on stick, colour bound copies for panel. Outfit ready (jacket now drowns me with the weight I've lost, whoops), read and re-read job description, person spec. and the bull I put in my application. Researched the organisation, the area I am presenting on and a few other bits. Feel 'ready' but also feel strangely nervous. There's an 'exercise' first of some description and because the job description was such management speak bull and the presentation topic was new to me I think I have a feeling of 'eeeek' about the exercise being something I flunk. Oh well, I'm not even sure I want to go there to work and it's only 1 hour 20 minutes out of my life this afternoon.

Feels very weird having a day off work though. I feel very lazy!!

Hi Gemmzie - my friends boyfriend is a mechanic and thinks that she is getting more mile from her tank...the bf says that because some fuels are better and therefore make your fuel more efficient - i shall be doing some research about that today at some point. Do you have a morrisions near you? Petrol for food vouchers?

  • Morning everyone,

Thought I'd pop in quickly and say hello. Your kind words on Monday made my eyes leak!

The green eyed monster has vanished from the OH for the time being, and he's being really nice! He's said I can make the spare bedroom into a study which was always a NO, it's going to be my man room. And he's agreeing with helping out around the house more/ [insert confused smile].

He's trying to get a job in Dubai for the same company, as one is going to be availble in the next month or two with the prospect of me moving out there. But if he's not able to get that job he wants to spend 6k on a car so he can go to interviews,

Still feel emotionally and physically drained and feel as though a huge pamper session is in order soon. :D

Bunny, happy birthday to your mum. It's my dads birthday today too.

Gemmzie - it will work itself out.

Jo, how was the bike ride?
  • Good luck BB. Sending positive vibes and thoughts your way!

LMC, you still sound knackered - a pamper session sounds like a great idea - you definitely need it, even just to be able to switch off for a while and think about nothing!

My bike ride was great, thanks! It's lovely and sunny here again this morning (I thought it was supposed to be rainy?) so the perfect morning for a cycle. It took me less time than the bus journey in traffic (20 minutes) and of course there was no waiting around at the bus stop! Feeling extremely smug and virtuous - two of my favourite feelings :D

Have a talk to give at about 5pm this afternoon....haven't written it yet :rotfl:

    Morning all!
Just paid another months payment to one of my creditors, reviewed my account, my cheque has cleared now and it feels strange to be only £212.46 overdrawn :D
Completed my DFW diary that is long overdue and now just had some breakfast. I am working a late shift on placement today, and a practical exam tomorrow on the safe administration of medication! not long now and I will be in year 2! It is quite scary really at how fast this last 12 month of my nurse training has gone. In a couple of years I will be qualified, and this is now my DF target date!

Oh and GOOD LUCK BB!!! give them the management blah blah back!

    Morning all.

I've just read a facebook page for one of my old teachers who died on monday, I also knew him as a friend for the last ten years. In 13 hours there's been 400 people who joined, everyone had fond memories, how great is that for a teacher.

I'm also having trouble with a DCA who keep phoning me and 'don't deal in writing'. Well, since I only deal in writing then we have a problem don't we.

Anyway, I'm not going to let it bother me, if they want money (well, they'll actually get a CCA request) then they'll write.

Hope everyone has a good day.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
