I left my exH and walked away from my share of everything. I don't think this is an simple as a choice between coupledom and singledom for cost saving purposes really. It's cheaper for me to be in a couple now, but it certainly wasn't when i was married to a complete bell end.

Funny really there will be people across the nation who are married to complete bells ends and they don't know it till they fall out icon7.gif

Oh knew alright, i just didn't have the guts to do anything about it. I knew i'd lose everything, so i basically waited until things were so bad i decided i'd rather lose everything than put up with that twonk any longer.

I'm one of those idiots that thought marriage would change someone for the better, and once we were married he would be lovely and look after me and we would live happily ever after. Disney has a lot to answer for!

I've got to go now, I'm meeting my sister, but basically he treated me like his house slave, spent all our money, built up secret debt and turned out to be an internet perv. And all round mr nice guy!

    Gotta go!

Does this mean that, as an ugly person, I can invest in £20,000 of plastic surgery and get a full return on my investment in about 5 years? :T

if you mean it makes you less likely to be single then no. looks might get you a shag. they don't get you a relationship. plenty of ugly couples and gorgeous singles too.

  • I heard today on this morning (the t.v show) that single people end up spending £5000 more per year than a person who lives with a partner or is married.
