As a man, being in a relationship is easy as long as you whisper those 3 magic words.............

At least the singles in England do get the 25% council tax reduction, in N.Ireland - we get nothing!
I do agree thats its far more expensive being single, through costs of accommodation not being shared, food is more expensive one.
Alos socialising - couples are usually happy enough to have cosy nights in etc, whereas when your single you tend to spend more going to out to do things with friends.
To those who said there is a cost in terms of buying rounds, sharing taxis etc, I think you will find if you explain this to your freinds they should understand, if they refuse to consider themselves as individuals and spilt things evenly, then they really aren't true friendsWeight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -
Women need to give signals though: smile, laugh at his jokes, play with your hair, play tongue tennis e.t.c. e.t.c!0

I don't think that's right. As I understand it, more male foetuses are conceived than female ones, but babies, children, young adults etc are all more likely to die if male than if female (in the UK).
So there is a point at which a male majority in an age group turns to a female one, but I don't know what the age is.
Edited to say - looked at Wikipedia. It reckons 105 boys are born for every 100 girls.
"n the United States, the sex ratios at birth over the period 1970–2002 were 105 for the white non-Hispanic population, 104 for Mexican Americans, 103 for African Americans and Indians, and 107 for mothers of Chinese or Filipino ethnicity.[1] Among Western European countries ca. 2001, the ratios ranged between 104 in Belgium and 107 in Portugal. In the aggregated results of 56 Demographic and Health Surveys[2] in African countries, the ratio is 103, though there is also considerable country-to-country variation"
In the UK in the 15 to 64 age range, there are 1.03 men for every 1 woman....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

So life's a breeze if you're a young girl - plenty to choose from. By the time you reach middle age, the available men are running out. And by the time you retire, there's none left in the pool at all. Hence the sea of female faces if you peep inside a residential home for the elderly.
I think you're better off as you are PN. No-one to answer to but yourself. You've got a lot to be thankful for.0 -

My mum always used to say to me (and still does) - Always buy good quality shoes and a good quality bed, because when you're not in one, you're in the other.0 -

Shoes aren't important.
My £5 fake crocs are so comfy I bought 3 pairs, so I expect them to last me about 10+ years.
I'd say, in my "usual lifestyle", I'm mostly on the sofa or in the car.0
