    Search here.

Do bear in mind my point about whether they are reputable being an entirely different matter, though.

To give you an idea of what MoJ authorisation is like, you fill in a few forms and agree to abide by certain rules. MoJ then give you authorisation. It is not a measure of quality, experience or knowledge. Virtually everyone on these forums could get themselves authorised by the MoJ in a few weeks if they wanted.

  • My mother had a phone call with "we fight any claim" and as a result handed over £2000, they took the money from her instantly, before sending out any paper work based on what information she had given, then panicking that she didn't have the money to pay (she had put it on a credit card) she got me to step in and fix the matter, this is something I would rather of not done as it took to much hassle to sort out, first I made a phone call to which I was told that the refund form has been filled in but that it needed to go to the refund department, I also put it in writing requesting a refund because I got the feeling they couldn't be trusted with a verbal conversation... They sent a letter back saying she needed to contact them again and tried to obtain more money out of her by selling other products and would not confirm the refund was being processed, I then called the next day and had a very heated call with a very obnoxious individual who seemed to enjoy winding me up to breaking point. I made two complaints and neither has been dealt with, I feel this is defiantly a scam she still hasn't received the refund as this is supposed to take 30 days and is currently still pending, I am actually looking to escalate my complaint on her behalf as I am disgusted at how we were both treated and I'm convinced that she won't get her money back without a fight.. If anyone can advise who to go to next as I would be extremely happy to fight this company to the death, because I think they are without a doubt unethical and unscrupulous in they effort to part people with they hard earned cash.

If it is on your mother's credit card, get the Credit Card provider to deal with it either under S75 of the Consumer Credit Act or, if you are sure the transactions are unauthorised, using that route. My own view is that S75 is probably safer unless you are sure she really didn't authorise the transactions because it would be fraudulent.

On that point, the name of the company really says it all.

"We Fight Any Claim" - no matter that it might be fraudulent and they could actually land you in prison for it.
  • they told me that i had paid ppi on my mortgage as the banks hid this in the interest rate which is a blatant lie
