We fight any claim?

Hi - wasn't sure where to put this so apologies if it is on the wrong board.

I have received a few phone calls today from a company called we fight any claim. First time couldn't understand a word so I hung up. Then got two missed calls plus voice mail.

Called again this evening. Was told i may be entitled to compensation for PPi and had I taken out a loan in the last ten years. I said yes but I got it changed and was successful in claiming back PPi. Bloke hung up before I could say anything else.

Does anyone know who these people are. Is it as I suspected a scam?

    Hi there (love your username).:D;)

I have not heard of them myself but maybe others have, you can always check them out with the ministry of justice (MOJ), they will check to see if they are reputable or not.

However, personally I would not use or even bother with a claims company, going by the problems lots have had on here.

And of course if you have a go yourself, with free help from this site, you get to keep all your refund if successful.

So I take it then you have already made a successful ppi reclaim then? Well done to you.

  • We fight any claim is the new name for Beneficial Claims. probably to get away from the stigma of this article http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8507054.stm

Wonder if BP will follow suit and change it's name too?
We've spent decades teaching people about their rights, but nothing about their responsibilities.

You can see if they are registered with the MOJ - that is rather different from telling whether or not they are reputable!

    Absolutely shameful
If you would be wealthy, think of saving as well as getting.

My husband has just been "ripped" off by this company to the tune of £490. He saw the advert and decided to look into claiming back PPI. When he had the initial telephone call he was told his fee would be £490 and would be fully refundable if he was unsuccessful. Well after reading the terms and conditions, he saw the fee would be 30% of anything paid back which had to be paid before he would be entitled to receive any money that had been paid back. He cancelled within his 14 days and is still waiting for his money back. Whatever their name is now just puts down the telephone when you try to call about the refund or pass you around departments who then put the telephone down on you. According to Webcheck which links to Companies House records, We Fight Any Claim has a striking off application applied for against it. Its in the same location as Beneficial Claims, it never moved it just changed names! If you have made a payment to Beneficial Claims or the We Fight Any claims through your credit card, your credit card provider can take up the case for you under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 2005. You can also complain to the Financial Services Authority and the Financial Services Ombudsman and Ministry of Justice. The more that complain, hopefully somebody will start to look into the misconduct of these companies. Ironic really when you think they try to get you back ppi which was missold in the first place and their business is mis-sold and their contracts not adhered to by themselves!
Do not use either Beneficial Claims or We Fight Any Claim
