contract sim with used iphone

Hi all,
I have a nokia 5800 but im not getting on well with it. Its on an orange contract with free minutes, texts and 500mb data alowance. Can I use this sim in a unlocked Iphone GS for the remainer of my contract?. I think orange have a dedicated iphone tariff but would they know im using an iphone on my 5800 tariff?.
Also is it ok to ebay my 5800 or does it belong to orange until im out of contract?

Yes you can, just stick your sim in the iPhone, activate it on iTunes, it'll be fine, and yes they would know you were using an iPhone as they have to log the IMEIs of every phone used on the network. You get a few perks with the official iPhone tariffs, free BT Openworld Wifi usage and faster GPRS access, other than that they're exactly the same as regular tariffs0
