I have just received a solicitors letter from spratt endicott to advise me that because I hadn't paid £4.95 to Moshi Monsters kids safe web site. I have been charged £20.00. Has anyone else had any issues?
As far as I'm concerned it was only ever for one month and I never signed into a credit agreement. How is it legal to charge £20.00...
I have emailed them both, no reply as yet and when I phoned the solicitors she said it's in the t's and C's it's not I've checked

But I have been charged a £20.00 late payment fee, surely that can't be legal or justified by any legal body?0

Heard back from Moshi Monsters, turns out it is Click and Buy who have applied the charge not them. Not what it says on the solicitors letter!!
Click and buy have sent me straight to a solicitor without the courtesy of sending me a letter first. The fees have been dropped now and I have been sent an apology by Moshi Monsters. I will be forwarding my complaint onto Click and Buy now to question their ethics.0 -
Just had a similar situation. I've received a solicitors letter from Spratt Endicott claiming for £29.90 for two Moshi Monster memberships for my girls. Not sure how it got to £29.90 from two £4.95 packages. Unlike other memberships this one gets the solicitors on you if you don't want it anymore but don't go through the whole cancellation procedure.0

The £29.90 they charged you is 2* £4.95, plus a £20 solicitors letter.
Not that I think that is a reasonable approach for people to take- especially if they auto renew0 -
