You may THINK I'm a pr@ but I think your OP shows you definitely are one. Being pestered my an EA and you feel the need to tell all on a forum - ah diddums!!!
Says the one who obviously felt the need to read and respond to such a post.
My old mum used to say, "If you can't say something nice, say nothing at all".
It is easy, just stop those fingers from typing and move on to a post where you actually have something to offer.
Have a lovely day, hope you find some posts to your taste.0 -
When I bought my house the front 10 feet of the front garden was registered under different deed to the rest of the land and house so my house had 2 deeds registered. My solicitor as part of the purchase, re- registered all the land under 1 deed.
So (I am not 100% on this) I think my house has 1 deed but 3 entries in land registry, only 1 of which shows how much I paid for it.
As these house price companies have to pay for each item, they are reluctant to ask for all 3, especially as 2 of them will keep coming back with no price on!
My house purchase, despite being recent enough to show up on the house price checking web sites, does not show up.0 -

I sold my last house in 2007 through House ladder. It was at the top of the market (as was then) and was in West London. We were often seeing Agents litter dropping on the doormat saying we have a buyer for your property that sort of thing.
Anyway it was relatively easy to value the property as identical ones had sold in the same street in the last couple of Months. (This is a moot point actually as we received an offer within days which we were happy with and proceeded upon). It was slightly above our target number and better than up to that time had been achieved in that street.
Anyway the local agent must have scoured the house ladder site daily as he called me clearly looking to get us signed up onto his books. These calls went on for several days until I literally had to tell him to sling his hook. On one of the first occasion's he even had the gall to ask how I had arrived at my valuation (I decided to tell him) then agreed with me it was fair. The bloke seemed to have the hump that a householder on his patch had the audacity to go it alone on selling their house.
End result house sold a few days after marketing and move all completed within 7 weeks. The biggest bonus was not handing over what would have been around £5,000 to the agent for doing what most people can do themselves.
I would never use an estate agent again. The internet is a very powerful tool if you know how to use it.0 -
dont worry about it, enjoy it
The EA didnt get the sale because he was a tw@ so whether he was right or wrong is academic really He is in both scenarios the loser.garth;)0 -
"Pestering" might have been a smart EA wanting you to get ahead of the curve, with a realistic market price, to successfully sell.
Its pestering if the person being targeted feels like their being pestered. A REALLY smart EA would have the skills to persuade the OP that he was right without resorting to harrassment.
When I changed agents, I couldn't choose between 2 of the agencies who came to do a valuation. My OH slightly preferred one over the other so I let him make the decision. The EA that we didn't end up going with was so petulant and whiny when I told him we'd decided on someone else that I'm glad I didn't give him my business now.0
