Sorry l don't know the answer but just to advise to make sure you get proper legal advice on this issue rather than rely on answers on a forum. Last thing you need is not to disclose it and then the council coming back to you in the future suspending your taxi plate because you failed to disclose.0

Thanks Paul.
I do want to be honest, and disclose it, however if it doesn't need to be disclosed, then I don't want to trip myself up!
I'll check it out.
Thanks again,

I don't believe that it would show up on your CRB check as it was a civil matter, not a criminal one. However, if you wish to put your mind at rest, there's nothing stopping you, as an individual, from applying for your own CRB check. Even the enhanced check will only cost you £36 and 90% are processed within 10 days.0

Are you allowed to apply for a enhanced CRB youself? I thought only a workplace could apply for one? Interesting to know if you can apply yourself as a friend was asking me just yesterday!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

It doesn't show up; the only place it appears is on your benefit records.0

Who can apply for a CRB Check?
CRB checks cannot be obtained by members of the public directly but are only available to organisations and only for those professions, offices, employments, work and occupations listed in the Exceptions Order to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
For this reason your application will be processed either by your employer, if it is registered with the CRB, or a third party organisation, called an Umbrella Body, which is registered with the CRB.
The above is taken from the CRB web-site. Obviously you can't apply for a CRB yourself then. You can use a third party organisation though I assume this would cost more.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Thanks for this info Jannine.
The taxi firm, who offered me the job, would be paying for the CRB, which is great.
Thanks again.

Sim.
Your welcome! I can't offer any advice on the questions you've asked in your previous post, but wanted to wish you luck, I'm sure somebody with more knowledge will be along later!
