Item won, paid for and collected. Why would seller want to cancel?

The title pretty much says it all here, I won several items from the same seller, who I later noticed lived in the same area. I emailed (prior to the auctions ending, don't worry!) and she said collection would suit her better, which I did - paid cash on collection and happy with the items. All seemed fine, too good to be true - and then I found out why!
She then emailed to ask if I could cancel the transactions and she would agree to the cancellations? WHat would be the point in doing this? Presumably so that she doesnt' pay FVFs...anything else? And if I did agree to that, first off I can't cancel them as the buyer, and if she cancelled, what worried me most is there are several. Are there implications on me, if they were to be cancelled, that they would go down as non paid items? As i can't prove payment through Paypal?!
Should I refuse and just leave the pos feedback as normal and ignore any request for cancelling? That's what my gut feeling is telling me to do!....

Just cancel them. You have got what you wanted for a price you were happy to pay.
As for saving on FVF's good luck to them, I wish I could save on mine.
You might have a moral twinge and feel sorry for ebay but in these troubled times we look after no 1 and to me that is my family.0 -
I was actually asking to check if there would be any implications on my account. Not worried about ebay losing out haha.
Sorry if I didn't make my OP clear on that.0 -
I have done it before as a buyer and have had no problems, I have also suggested it to save myself a few quid (cancel and split the fees)0

How do I cancel something as a buyer then? I looked today, and could only see an option to either contact the seller, or raise a dispute. Neither of which really fit.0

Why implicate yourself in this type of Scam. You have nothing to gain. I would politly refuse to be a party in this action.
Just my opinion. The seller has to initiate it.0 -
There's no implications on you, in fact it would prevent the seller being able to claim UPIs against you. But on the other hand, there's not really any advantage to you either, and you've already saved them Paypal fees by paying in cash, so you'd think the seller would be grateful enough for that!:www: :: MFi3 ::

Realisitically no problems.
Outside chance of you being somehow linked as one of their other accounts and suspended for being a shill bidder.
Probably very outside though, and not anything to worry about.
You can't cancel yourself though, they have to start it and then you agree.
If it was me I wouldn't do it, but that's because I believe in paying for what you use, and I don't like people who try and get a free ride, not because of any possible issues. This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

Your being a little short sighted. If everyone did this. Then ebay wouldn't make much money (yes I know you don't care) so what would happen is listing fees will rise which will effect you.
Like TD I believe in paying for things.0 -
You are implicated by involving yourself by your actions to agree for them to claim back their FVF.
There will be a direct link between you and them. Your choice!0 -
It kinda suprised me as I would never think of doing that. I recenty sold some items which were collected and was happy to receive cash as or saved me pp fees as someone says.
I think I will go with my gut instinct here and just leave feedback as normal and leave it as a done deal. As it's of no benefit to me and I wouldn't like to ask anyone else to do it for me.
Thanks for your responses.
