Rights for cancelling a phone contract
Hi all,
Im posting this for a friend, he took out a monthly contract with O2 back in february, the offer was £240 cashback, "hassel Free" before your 2nd bill, if you choose the 24 month, £30 contract with the Nokia 6700.
Now there is no issue of payment problems or anything like that but the only reason he chose a contract so high was it worked out a much better deal than a £20 a month contract for 24 month (more mins internet and text)
Surely as o2 have not stuck to their own T&C of the offer they can cancel and get a new contract (he doesnt want to and just wants his cashback)?
He has rang plenty of times and they keep saying it will be with your next bill, but now onto his fourth and its still not there
Thanks

I doubt it to be honest, but it was a huge promo they did at the beginning of the year, splashed all over their site, it was £180 cashback with a blackberry or £240 with Nokia 6700, unfortunately you dont really think to take a screen shot when its direct from o2 as you just trust what they say they will honour - when he rings them they do know of the promotion but state that they have had problems with the cash back and it will appear on the next bill ...blah blah blah!:beer:0
