o2 upgrade uncertainty
Options
Dear all,
I am out of contract on my existing simplicity contract.
However i am looking to upgrade my handset with o2 and stay with them
This should be posted on the iphone thread.
But i am unsure what to do and get iphone 4 or iphone 3gs
O2 have offered me on 18mnth contract on the refurb 3gs
600 mins
Unlimited Web
500mb data
Unlimited landline calls
£32 for 18 mnths and refurb Black 16gb 3GS Free of charge
Or another alternate i got is go on Vodafone and get the iphone 4 from there as i have a mate who can get me 30% off! which would bring the netcost down from £50 to £35.
But with all the problems, and Vodafone's customer service bring poor i am unsure what to do. Does anyone think i should get the 3GS and wait till the next-gen one is out. I'm aware putting a case on the iphone 4.0 will stop the problems, really unsure.
Anyone had experiences with the refurb 3GS, is it still worth the money compared to the iphone 4. I'm not cnvinced too much, the only thing worth having is the screen other than that the camera, processor is nothing new...
Look forward to responses!

Personally, I would wait for a while before committing to an iPhone4 as I think this is far from over. Steve Jobs has made a rod for the backs of the UK networks by announcing the 30 day return policy. I think your best bet is to wait until the dust settles over the signal issue. The next few days could be very interesting. If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button
