Got a Nokia 5800 I've had for 18 months and can now upgrade. Wondering what else competes, any ideas? Cant say I've enjoyed using web with it but music is excellent. Thanks

Do you want something similar? What network are you on? What do you use the handset for? How much do you want to spend per month?

Exactly the questions I was going to ask.

I *thought* I was quite happy with the 5800, had one for 18 months no issues at all, decent enough handset. Infact I was set to get an X6 at upgrade time but I tried out an iPhone and the difference is like night and day.

Web browsing is a million times better than the Nokia. The music side of things is well known to most of us. The internal speaker is much poorer than the Nokia though, that was the 5800's big strength.

I got my phone on the cheap, taking out a £7.50 a month contract with TMobile for the Pulse with 100 mins, 100 tests, unlimited internet and a booster. I sold that phone, sold my 5800 and bought a 4 week old iPhone online. The total I am paying equates to about £13 a month for 2 years.

Don't want to pay more than £20 month ideally over 18 months again. Just a little web browsing but mainly texting and phone calls. With O2 at the moment but don't need to be tied to them for any reason. Do like to have a decent-ish camera for pics in case don't have camera with me.
  • i upgraded to a htc desire & gave the 5800 to my oh :j
the speakers are worse than the nokia but everything else its better
