Co-Op Rant!

ahhhh sorry for doing this, I don't post on here alot, just lurk but I needed to get this off my chest and don't have anyone to talk to about it!!!
I HATE THE CO-OP BANK!!!!
I never seem to know where I am with my money, I thought when I phoned to find out a balance it would tell me what I had in there, so off I go to Tesco yesterday to get a few bits of shopping as on the phone it had told me I had over £100 in there. Then my card gets declined for £39!!! WHAT!!!!! So I went to the cash point and it said I could olny get out £30.....why couldn't they tell me that on the phone??
Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me? The internet bank never tells me either, it always seems to be a few days behind.
I never had this problem with Natwest, it was always exactly right and I managed to never go overdrawn....
Twice now with Co-Op I have gone overdrawn and I know once more means no bank account....I thought you couldn't go overdrawn with this account.....
Anyways, to try and get out of this trap and take more control over my money I have just opened and YBS saver account, I am going to leave money in the co-op for the DDs and transfer the rest out as spends for the month, hopefully this works......can't seem to get on track and its already been 4 months since we went BR, I thought things would get better, not worse....
Sorry for the waffeling rant, just needed to get it out

Yes the internet banking is behind but if you call and speak to an advisor they will tell you exact balance.
I know others on this forum have excel spreadsheets to help themselves.
Co op is better than barclays....with barclays no internet or telephone banking. It wouldnt even let me use the kiosk in store!0 -
I don`t have a problem with them, been with them nearly a year now and think they are superb. I have found that it always takes 2 working days for a debit card transaction to show on my account, roughly the same as my HSBC and Nationwide accounts before BR.:pB&SC No. 298

I also use Quicken 2010 which is brilliant and lets me be in total control of my finances.:pB&SC No. 298

I don't have any problem with the co-op at all, I check online every day and update my spreadsheet with what I have spent when I get home from shopping so I always know exactly what I have left.0

I had a small problem with them last week, I noticed that when my wages went in and I used my debit card on the same day or withdrew cash this made me overdrawn? I called the coop and they said not to worry, as I said I was concerned about the 3 strikes and your out,
I still am not sure why its classed as being overdrawn when my wages are in, crazy

Co-op themselves told me the only correct real time available balance (to withdraw) was the one the cash machine gave you.0

I am not that great with computor technology, so I do it the old-fashioned way. I have a little book that I write down every thing I have spent. It also helps me keep track of things coming up! That way even if the bank is not right I know I am!0

Classylady, that happened to me as well, it's just the way they do it, they do the debits first and then the credit.
They told me not to worry as well, and it's happened a few times to us and I'm still ok, not been chucked out yet lol!0 -
I always phone up and ask for my available balance,0

Thats a relief I thought I was the only one, we have to be so careful - apart from that little blip Im very happy with the coop
