Did i spell that right?
Anyway! i am new here! :j
I am Part of a band and currently We practise in a Garage.. The garage is a great size and we have decided on making it permanent.. So what tips has anyone got for cheap soundproofing?
It doesn't have to be 100% sound proof so i wont be building a room in a room.
I heard attaching carpets to the walls works well? I got plenty of that left over from when my parents recarpeted their house.
We have sofas and things in there to absorb sound.. So any other ideas?
Egg boxes dont work unless filles with foam which is expensive. tried and prooven.
Thank You for your time and patience:)

try puting up anything that will absorb the sound soft, ie blankets ,matresses cushions etc rather than bouncing it around ,0

carpet will only help to a certain degree, and as it's a garage, the sound will bounce off the garage door for instance. Depends what your budget is and how effective you want it to be, but insulating boards don't have to be stupidly expensive.0
