Problem with Sky and "colour" on screen

Can anyone through any light onto this one?
We appear to have a problem currently with our Sky box in that it keeps "losing" its colour. Whilst it doesnt lose the colour completely, it is a noticeable (duller) difference.
It is definetly the Sky box that is the problem in my opinion, as it doesn't occur on Video's or DVD's, nor when we use Digital TV.
Any thoughts please! It is a standard Sky box, not HD or a + box. I have checked all the SCART connections etc and they all appear to be secure.

Is it set to PAL or RGB? The's a noticable difference between the two settings, especially on an CRT type TV.0

Not sure, but would this make the screen change colour randomly0

Are the DVD's and video's connected to the same SCART socket as the Sky box?Not sure, but would this make the screen change colour randomly
Sounds to me like an intermittent connection on the SCART input, you can verify it quite easily by gently tapping the SCART lead that runs between your Sky box and the TV at either end to see if the problem goes away.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -
Try changing the picture settings to RGB.

Then its the 4th option down Video Output: Change that to RGB
Try it out see if it works. Hope it helps0 -

Thanks Clutcher
I went into these settings, and it was on RGB. However - I changed it to PAL - and this fixed the problem instantly!
Thank you also to Spike (post 2).

Wow, I'm sitting here with a SKY+ HD box that has all of a sudden lost sound when I turned it on (I still have sound through the DVD player and so I know it's not the tv causing the problem) and also turned everything red!
Thanks for the advice above, I've gone to PAL and it's come back - now to hunt for advice on the missing sound, grrr.0
