There are sites online that enable you to set up your own "classes" - you register, say what you can do, then they collect the student money and give you your cut.
What you could do, that would be relevant, would be providing English conversation via Skype and webcam to foreign students who want English conversation with a native British speaker. .... or do you have some funny accent?0 -

Nah, I don't have a funny accent, and I did think about the webcam thing, but could never find a decent site for it. Plus, I don't have a webcam and mic.0 -

possibly a second paper round or some leaflet delivery0 -
You also have the "adult" webcam/chat services that are described in detail (the job, not the services) elsewhere on this sub-forum?
Anyway. Back to the serious bit.
There are plenty of work from home opportunities that may take your fancy, there are lists of them right here in the Up Your Income sub-forum, however I will point out that you then have a legal requirement to declare it in most if not all cases.Signaller, author, father, carer.0 -
You mention that you don't like the agency route for cleaning etc but have you considered self employment? Round my way, people particularly old people are crying out for reliable tradesmen- cleaners get £10 an hour, window cleaners earn really good money, gardeners are all charging £12+, people need odd job men (not saying you can do all these things just using it as an example of how much demand there is). I'm sure you could get a few cleaning jobs through word of mouth, adverts in shop windows, leaflet drops- that way you get the full fruits of your labour without an agency taking it's cut and you basically paying for a whole layer of bureaucracy. There are so many products and services that can be provided, you just have to find one niche for yourself somewhere. GL.0
